Loving Our City

Our City Missions Pastor, Zack Larabee, is actively forging relationships and partnerships with our neighbors in Downtown Greenville. As a domestic missionary, he is building connections with like-minded organizations such as Miracle Hill, PMAC, and Rebuild Upstate, while also sharing the love of Christ through relationships with our neighboring schools—Legacy K4 and Greenville High School.

Mission work doesn’t just happen overseas—it’s happening right here in our city, and you get to be a part of it! Check out the opportunities below to see how you can join in on this mission.

PMAC

Poe Mill Achievement Center is a after-school and Summer program

Monthly Mentors

Each month, a group from Origins serves lunch or dinner and spends time connecting with the staff and kids at PMAC. There are also opportunities to help kids with homework and reading club.

Special Needs & Events

Throughout the year, there are opportunities to serve PMAC in practical ways, like washing buses or assisting with their special events.

Rebuild Upstate

Rebuild Upstate is a local organization dedicated to returning dignity, safety, and stability to our neighbors in the upstate!

Manual Labor

As a church, we have the opportunity to partner with Rebuild Upstate several times throughout the year to take part in projects like rebuilding decks, constructing ramps, and replacing windows. Whether you're handy with tools or completely new to this kind of work, there's a role for everyone—and it's a great chance to serve together and have fun doing it!

Miracle Hill

Miracle Hill serves men, women, and children through homeless ministries, children ministries, and addiction recovery.

Lead Devotionals

As a church, we have the privilege of serving both the men’s and women’s ministries at Miracle Hill through weekly devotionals at the Greenville Rescue Mission and Shepherd's Gate. This ongoing commitment is carried out by several dedicated members of Origins. You're invited to join this opportunity to serve and help point men and women to Jesus.

Special Needs & Events

Throughout the year, there are opportunities to meet immediate needs and sponsor graduations for both addiction recovery centers—Overcomers and Renewal. We also get to take part in events we look forward to every year, like the Annual Turkey Fry!

Foster Care

Foster care and adoption are woven into the fabric of the Origins family, and there are many ways to get involved. Miracle Hill, as a licensing agency, offers a great pathway for those considering foster care. If foster care, adoption, or a supportive role is on your heart, we’d love to have an honest conversation over dinner to answer any questions you may have.

Legacy Early College K4

Legacy Early College K4 is a charter school located in downtown Greenville.

Monthly Support

Once a month, committed volunteers from our Origins family welcome students into class and serve breakfast to the staff.

Special Needs & Events

Throughout the year, there are opportunities to meet immediate needs, help with special events, and sponsor activities like field days or holiday parties.

Greenville High School

At Greenville High School, only a short walk from our City Workspace, we have the several opportunities to connect with both teachers and students.

Teacher Breakfast

Throughout the year, we have the pleasure of hosting Teacher Breakfasts at our City Workspace and bringing breakfast to the high school.

FCA Ladies Softball

Through our partnership with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), we’ve teamed up with the Ladies Softball team to build discipleship relationships. We attend games, provide snacks, and a committed group of Origins women lead devotionals!

Monthly Prayer Meetings

At Origins, we believe that our first step in serving our city is to pray to God for its welfare and for wisdom as we serve and share the gospel! We meet at the city workspace once a month to pray and drink coffee!
