Serving on Sundays

If you call Origins home, we encourage you to find a ministry within Origins to serve with regularly. Every Sunday takes a team—people setting up and tearing down, greeting guests, teaching and caring for kids, running sound, and more. There is a place for you to serve Jesus and His church. If you are ready to jump in or want help finding the right spot to serve, reach out to one of our teams below.

Set UP & Tear Down Team

As a mobile church, we depend on volunteers who are willing to show up early and stay late to help load in and load out everything we use on Sunday mornings. Volunteers enjoy the extra time to connect with one another while serving alongside friends, spouses, and even their children.

Set Up

Volunteers arrive at 7:30 a.m. to unload the trailer, set up pipe and drape, and OriginsKids rooms as well as the info table.

Tear Down

Volunteers help tear down pipe and drape, OriginsKids rooms and info table area and load up the trailer. We are usually finished by 11:00 a.m.

Hospitality Team

Our hospitality team helps make Origins feel like home from the moment people walk in. We love welcoming folks and providing coffee for our Origins family and visitors as a way to love one another.

Coffee

We love providing coffee for our Origins family and visitors as a way to love one another and show hospitality. Volunteers arrive at 8:30 a.m. to brew coffee, set up the coffee table, and ensure everything is stocked. This is a great opportunity to serve with a spouse, child or friend!

Greeter

Arriving at 9:00 a.m., Volunteers will welcome guests, guide new families to the OriginsKids area, and help everyone find their way to the main meeting space. This is a great role for friendly, people-loving volunteers who want to help others feel seen and at ease.

OriginsKids

Our growing children’s ministry is constantly in need of faithful teachers and volunteers. We are making little disciples. All volunteers in the kids area must pass a background check completed by Origin, in partnership with Chechen.

Teaching

Teachers Arrive at 9:00 a.m. to prepare their classroom. Our classes offered are: Babies, Twos+Threes, Fours+Fives, Lower Elementary (K5-2nd) and Upper Elementary (3rd-5th). Curriculum and all materials are provided.

Welcome & Check-In

Our Welcome team helps run the check-in station, welcome and register new families, and usher children to their classrooms. Volunteers arrive at 9:00 a.m. and remain at the check-in table until 9:45 a.m.

Kids Worship

Kids worship is from 9:45 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Volunteers teach songs, bible verses, and catechism in fun memorable ways.

Origins Youth

Our youth group is full of life and potential—and we love having adults who care about investing in the next generation.

Youth Leaders

While we do not currently need extra hands at weekly gatherings, we want to keep this opportunity open for those who feel called to support our students through presence, mentorship, or occasional help.

Bring a Meal

Another meaningful way to serve is by providing a meal for our youth on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. at the City Workspace. It is a simple but powerful way to show love and support to our teens and their leaders.

WorSHIP Team

At Origins, we consider every member of the Worship Band a leader—someone who helps guide our church family to glorify God through song. Our A/V Team also plays a crucial behind-the-scenes role in creating a smooth, distraction-free Sunday experience.

Worship Band

While we do not place heavy expectations on this team, we do recognize the shared responsibility that we carry together in this meaningful role. Team members arrive at 7:30 a.m. to unload, set up sound equipment, and rehearse. Midweek band practices take place on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. We expect team members to be pursuing a relationship with Jesus, excelling in their musical talents, and cultivating relationships with others.

Audio Visual

Sound Techs arrive at 7:30 a.m. to set up sound equipment, run audio during rehearsal, and manage sound throughout the service.

Slide Operators arrive at 8:00 a.m. to prepare presentation slides and run them during the service, helping guide the flow of worship and teaching. No experience is needed. We will happily teach you everything you need to know for our simple setup.
