Every Story Points to Jesus

I don't know how many of you reading this have been back in OriginsKids, but if you have in the last nine months you probably have heard of The Biggest Story. We say this over and over and over again, and I hope it is true for as long as I get to serve in this role (and beyond), but our kids are going to hear about Jesus when they come to OriginsKids. Every week kids are going to hear scripture, learn truth, be prayed over, and learn about the character of God. Every week we read stories that point to Jesus.

Making Disciples Through Scripture

As followers of Jesus, we are called to make disciples. We believe that parents are the primary discipler of their children. OriginsKids exists to come alongside families as they teach their children about Jesus, and we do this through scripture.

The 104 stories in The Biggest Story tell about God who created the world, the history of His people through the Old Testament, the prophets who told of Jesus' coming, the life of Christ, and how his people carry on the story of the gospel. The Biggest Story starts in Genesis and goes through Revelation, retelling stories from scripture.

Connecting Every Story to the Gospel

Each week as we open the Bible and read about God's character, we are also connecting each story to the Gospel. We get to be a part of how the Lord is calling our kids to Himself and His plan of salvation for their lives. May He find us obedient in sharing the word with our kids and may they be saved!

Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for your Word. You have blessed us with a story that teaches us who you are and who we are in light of your goodness. Thank you for Jesus! May we continue to teach kids about your love for them and allow us to serve you by loving and teaching kids. Amen
